ARMY OF FLYING ROBOTS - DISCOGRAPHY

Exactly what it says on the tin really, this album is a collection of 13 tracks all released seprately but all joined up. The fast, breaking riffs of the AFR make up their hectic sound, the wall of noise hits you full on in the face from People with Faces straight through to Embodiment. It’s a relentless album not for the faint hearted but with influences like Neurosis and Brutal Truth you got the impression this wasn’t going to be an acoustic reworking album. You can hear the sound/style evolve over time as the tracks are chronologically ordered, which is a really nice idea, The rapid injection of music rarely reaches past 2 minutes but all have much to offer, tracks to defiantly pay attention to are Nik Nak Combat and Eyes.
The album insert has reasoning behind the lyrics/about the theme of the song, which is a really nice touch. As well as a variety of live videos too.

Army of Flying Robots are easily the best thing to come from Nottingham. Ever.

for fans of: narcosis, brutal truth, neurosis
